Now celebrating twenty-one years in business, ISS – International Staffing Solutions – can point to one ever-present principle as having been central to its longevity: the personal touch.

A strong team-ethic and a naturally occurring but then carefully nurtured sense of loyalty have been central to every chapter of the ISS success story, and both remain so to this day. Company founder Mike Gleeson spent several years in construction management for large contractors in the Middle East where observing the difficulties faced by many companies within his industry proved to be the inspiration for setting up ISS, something he would do with the aim of sourcing personnel with the necessary skill-sets required for contracts in Ireland or abroad. Having initially focused on filling roles such as packing and production personnel in warehouses, ISS has gone on to extend its resource pool for clients to include professional services including administration, accounting, PR, human-resources, and mediation.

For many of its clients, ISS has evolved from simply being a valued solution to a particular and easily definable problem, to becoming an integral and indispensable link in its overall operational chain, assuming levels of responsibility and control that are only designated when absolute trust is the bedrock upon which the working relationship has been built. Bringing to bear an almost war-like or state-of-emergency emergency sense of innovation and focus whereby ways to ‘get the job done’ are invariably always either found or made, combined with a beyond-the-horizon vision, ISS prides itself on knowing the ins-and-outs of a client’s staffing needs on as deep a level as their client.

Visual Display Unit Training

ISS Recruitment can now provide the mandatory VDU Visual Display Unit Training to any person(s) who use a PC for more than one hour per day. This training provides users of PC's with the skills needed to erogonmically set out their workstations to prevent repetitive strain injuries. It is a mandatory law for employers to provide the risk assesment in this area and to careful implement preventative measures.

2012 saw ISS Recruitment put out its 10,000th individual temporary worker. Wayne Allen from Newbridge Co. Kildare was the 10,000th temp to be put out on assignment with one of our clients.
